Sonoma County Goods is run by us, two local food enthusiasts, Joy Jacobsen and Dinora Benites. We are very passionate about quality food and tasting new flavors, especially when we don't have to travel far to experience both. From the farmers who dig in the soil to grow it, to the people in the kitchens preparing it, we want to meet everyone responsible for creating such a heavenly array of goodies here in Sonoma County.

While both studying Managerial Economics at UC Davis, we came up with the idea to use what we had learned about business development, by creating a small gift box business based on our favorite foods produced in Sonoma County. We decided it could be a useful platform in promoting the artisans of the products that we are proud to share. We started speaking with Sonoma County producers and writing small articles about their methods. After reflecting on what we should do with all this information, we started putting together seasonal subscription boxes on a quarterly shipment schedule.

In addition to our subscription boxes, we started offering Corporate Gift Boxes designed to give to employees, associates and valued clients. These big gifts of flavor are a memorable way to show someone your appreciation.

Now in 2025, we are making Holiday Gift Boxes to be delivered on December 22, right when friends and family are visiting for the holidays. These boxes are full of seasonal flavor, and designed for sharing.    

Our business model is simple; Buy, sell and promote the products made here in Sonoma County. In turn, the money in circulation is brought in and stays in our area to help keep our local economy and community healthy. We hope you enjoy our boxes of handpicked local goodness. We carefully pack each one with love in Joy’s garage. We can’t wait to share some new seasonal flavors with you.
